How to Make a Balloon Drop Craft
- 1). Measure how long your net will be when it is finished. It should be long enough to fit into the ceiling area of your party and should be tall enough to hold hundreds of balloons. Write these measurements down on your paper.
- 2). Buy your netting and cut it to the length and width of your dimensions. Lay it out on the floor flat. Use your needles and fishing line to sew one end of the net shut. This will be the bottom of your net. Don't cut your fishing line when you are done. Instead, leave enough fishing line to reach the ground from your balloon drop net. The other end of the net should remain open.
- 3). Inflate your balloons and stuff them into the net. Fill the net up with all the balloons you can fit inside. Make sure you don't overfill, as this can lead to balloons falling out of the net. Sew the top of your balloon drop up using fishing net but cut off the ends.
- 4). String your rope through the top of the netting and cut them to be as long as your ceiling. This rope is where your balloon drop will hang. It doesn't have to be very heavy rope, as the balloon drop should be light enough to carry with one or two people.
- 5). Place your ladders on each side of room and climb to the top. Screw your metal hanging clamps into the ceiling. Go back down the ladders and have one person carry one end of the rope up the ladder. Tie your ropes through these clamps to hang your balloon drop. Make sure your hang the end with the hanging string towards the ground
- 6). Pull the hanging string that connects to the bottom seam to break the seam and release the balloons.
