How to Get Rid of Soap Bubbles in a Dishwasher
- 1). Lay two or three large towels on the kitchen floor underneath the dishwasher to catch the overflow of bubbles and water as you clean. Slowly open the dishwasher door and lower it all the way open.
- 2). Pull out the racks and scoop out as many of the bubbles as possible using a bowl. Place the bubbles into the sink and rinse the sink periodically with water from the faucet to rinse away the bubbles.
- 3). Sprinkle 1 to 2 cups of table salt over the entire bottom tub of the dishwasher in an even layer. The salt will help to reduce the bubbles and keep any remaining dish soap from foaming up.
- 4). Place ice cubes into the bottom of the dishwasher until they cover it in an even layer.
- 5). Push the dishwasher racks back inside the dishwasher and close and lock the dishwasher door. Do not add any soap.
- 6). Set the dishwasher to the shortest cycle, preferably rinse. Allow it to run through the cycle and open the door slowly to see if any bubbles remain. If bubbles are still in the dishwasher, repeat the procedure an additional time to remove the remaining bubbles.
