    Blacklight & Peroxide to Remove Pet Stains and Odor

    • 1). Screw a black light bulb into the light fixture with the curtains in the room drawn. This will allow you to detect stains that cannot be seen under normal light. These places are where pet odor can harbor, so they need to be found and treated just like the noticeable problem areas.

    • 2). Spot test hydrogen peroxide on an unseen spot on the furniture. If no discoloration occurs, you are free to clean the pet stain with it. Pour enough peroxide on the stain to fully cover it, and allow it to dry.

    • 3). Rinse the peroxide from the area using cold water.

    Eliminating Pet Odor with Baking Soda & Vinegar

    • 1). Sprinkle baking soda over affected areas of your home. Let it sit overnight.

    • 2). Vacuum or sweep up the baking soda the following morning.

    • 3). Add two cups of distilled vinegar to a gallon of warm water. Apply the solution to the area. Allow to sit for 1 hour before rinsing with cold water.
