GE Oven F7 Error Code
- Look for the "F7" code to appear on the front panel of the oven. When it appears, it will blink, but it will turn to a steady error after a few minutes.
- If the code is followed by an "A," it means that the buttons are stuck on the oven. If the code is followed by a "B," it means that the LCD clock has gone bad.
- The "A" error code is easily fixable. Dampen a wash cloth with warm water and dab around the buttons to remove any sticky substance. Pop out the panel and make sure nothing fell into it. Replace the panel and press buttons to clear the code.
- The "B" error code means the Electronic Range Control needs replacing. The part is available from several appliance retailers and installs easily with the directions.
- If you are uncomfortable installing the part, call in a repair person from a local appliance store. The installation should take no longer than one hour and will make your oven operational again.
