How to Remove a Wine Stain From Wood
- 1). Pour a layer of salt directly onto the stain, if it is new. Allow the salt to sit for five to 10 minutes before scooping it off the wood.
- 2). Create a mixture of 2 tbsp. powdered pumice and 1 tbsp. baking soda.
- 3). Stir the ingredients and add 1/4 cup lemon oil. Mix the ingredients until they are well incorporated and add more baking soda to create a paste consistency, if necessary.
- 4). Dip a soft cloth into the mixture and work the pumice and baking soda mixture into the wood, working with the grain.
- 5). Allow the mixture to remain for five to 10 minutes before wiping it away with a cloth that is soaked with linseed oil.
- 6). Repeat working the pumice mixture into the wood and rinsing it away with the linseed oil if the stain was not removed with the initial treatment.
