Want to Lose the Belly Fat? Why the Diet You Choose Doesn"t Really Matter
We've all seen the fad diets come and go.
Atkins, Southbeach, Weightwatchers, Slimfast, Low-fat, Low-carb, the list goes on and on.
Many individuals never get past step one because they get too hung up on which diet to choose, or, they make their choice, don't get the results they expected, and bounce endlessly from one diet to the next.
The end result? They are right back where they started, discouraged, depressed, and more likely to regain any weight they did lose and then some.
The reality is that choosing a diet is one of the least important steps in the weight-loss process.
Any of the well known, well documented diets will work for the majority of dieters with one important qualification, you must stick with it.
This seems like so much common sense, and yet, it is the one reason why dieters fail again and again.
So many times I hear from my students that their eating regime simple isn't working for them.
The truth is that 99% of the time, they are the ones not working for their diet.
Diets are tools, and they can be used correctly or incorrectly.
The diet is impartial.
Your success relies entirely on you and your willingness to follow through.
To be sure, the start of a new diet is the most difficult time.
Generally, most individuals who manage to stick to their new eating habits for a full three months are likely to continue to be successful.
So the next time you begin that diet, make a commitment to yourself to follow through and ensure that your weight-loss won't be just a fad.
