How to Make Chore Dice

104 10
    • 1). Come up with a list of chores on a posterboard. List all the chores in the groups you want them to be in. For example, if you want the person who cleans the front hall to also have to take out the trash, list them together.

    • 2). Come up with a picture for each chore. The image should be easily recognizable and simple enough to draw on a die. For example, kitchen could be a dish, the bathroom could be a toilet, etc. Draw pictures next to each chore on the board.

    • 3). Count out the number of chores and buy a set of dice that corresponds. You can buy dice with 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 20 sides, so you should be able to find something close to the number of chores you have.

    • 4). Use model paint and a fine-tipped brush to paint a picture of one of the chores on each side of the chore die. Then, paint the second die in the same way to have a backup in case the first die goes missing.

    • 5). Every week, have everyone roll the die until all the chores are spoken for. If someone lands on a chore that has already been taken, have him or her roll again.
