Hyundai Car Radio Removal
- Many imported cars install their components using DIN screws or pins, so the easiest way to remove them is with a DIN tool, or release key, made for that specific car. Using the DIN tool avoids stripping or dethreading any of the pins or pinholders, as the pins are usually inserted at an angle.
- Insert the ends of the DIN tool into the holes on the top and bottom of either side of the stereo. The Hyundai DIN tool has two points on one end to accommodate this design, so be sure to use the release key for your model.
Push the release key outwards and towards you at the same time to remove the pins. When all four pins are removed, slide the stereo out of the console and unplug the wiring harness and antenna plug from the back of the unit.
