How to Make Beaded Daisy Flowers

    • 1). Thread the beading needle with 30 inches of waxed beading thread.

    • 2). Work a brick stitch base row, or ladder stitch, for the beaded daisy that is 1-bead tall and 24 beads long. White or yellow cylinder seed beads work best for this project. If you use yellow cylinder beads to make the petals, select a white crystal bead for the center of the daisy.

    • 3). Add two cylinder beads and pass the needle through the second bead in the base row. The two beads will now sit side-by-side on top of the first two beads in the base row. Insert the needle through the first bead in the row and then back through the first of the two beads added at the beginning of this step. Pull the thread taut. You are building the length of the first petal.

    • 4). Add two cylinder beads. Pass the needle down through the second stacked bead on the second row. Pull the thread taut. Insert the needle up through the second and third bead on the first stacked row. Pull the thread taut. You are stitching a square stitch to create the petals.

    • 5). Continue to add two beads at a time with the square stitch to make a daisy petal that is eight beads long, including the base row. Add one cylinder bead at the end of the two stacks of eight beads. Insert the needle back down through all of the beads on the second row of the stack, exiting the base row. The first daisy petal is complete.

    • 6). Insert your needle back up through the third bead in the base row. Repeat Steps 3, 4 and 5 to create another daisy petal. You will be building the petal from the third and fourth base beads.

    • 7). Continue to make 10 more daisy petals along the length of the brick stitch base row. At the end of the row, make 12 more petals using the same beads on the base row. The second row of petals will make the daisy fuller.

    • 8). Join one end of the brick stitch row to the other end of the row with a square stitch to form a circle.

    • 9). Hold the 10mm round crystal bead in the center of the circle. Pass the needle through the center hole of the crystal bead and through one bead on the base row of the daisy petals. Work the thread back and forth across the flower until the center bead is secure.
