- 1). Obtain wooden logs. Chop down trees to get wooden logs, which you can craft into wooden planks and sticks. One tree is sufficient to craft a single wooden axe. You do not need an axe to chop down the tree.
- 2). Right-click any crafting table to open a crafting grid. Place one wooden log into any square to craft four wooden planks.
- 3). Place one wooden plank anywhere in the crafting grid to craft four sticks.
- 4). Fill the center column of your grid with wooden sticks. Place a wooden plank on the first square of the first column to craft a wooden axe.
