How to Make a Small Scarecrow with Popsicle Sticks
- 1). Place one Popsicle stick across another so that they form the shape of a cross.
- 2). Glue the two Popsicle sticks together and press down on them lightly to help them dry.
- 3). Cut a third Popsicle stick in half with scissors; these pieces will form the scarecrow's legs.
- 4). Apply glue to the cut ends of the two Popsicle stick halves and place the sticks on the bottom of the Popsicle cross, angling them slightly to each side of the main Popsicle stick. Apply pressure to the sticks for a few minutes to allow the glue to dry.
- 5). Cut a rectangle shape out of construction paper with the scissors. The rectangle should be wide enough to cover the Popsicle stick that serves as the scarecrow's arms, so approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide and around 6 inches long. This will serve as the scarecrow's shirt. If you want more definition for the sleeves, you can trim the rectangle around the Popsicle stick to create the look of sleeves.
- 6). Place the rectangle vertically over the scarecrow's arms. Trim the ends of the rectangle with the scissors if they are too long for the Popsicle arms and leave the edges of the stick poking out to serve as hands.
- 7). Apply glue to the back of the rectangle and press the gluey section to the arms of the scarecrow.
- 8). Cut a pair of pants out of construction paper.
- 9). Place glue into the center of the pants and press them onto the stick figure's legs.

Cut several pieces of yarn and arrange them on the top of the Popsicle stick figure so that they look like hair; glue the yarn onto the scarecrow's head. - 11
Draw a face on the scarecrow's head once the hair is in place. Use a magic marker. - 12
Cut some small pieces of straw and place them around the hands and feet of the scarecrow. Glue the straw into place. - 13
Place some straw just under the head of the scarecrow and directly above the rectangle that serves as a shirt. Glue the straw into place.
