- 1). Choose a VoIP service provider (see Resources). Once you receive your VoIP adapter (ATA), you will need to connect this to your modem or router. Insert one end of your ATA in your modem/router.
- 2). Connect the ATA from your router to your Nortel phone. This is connected by the opposite end of your ATA adapter. Finish installation by completing the activation instructions that came with your adapter.
- 3). Dial the activation number located on the paper that came with your ATA adapter. Enter the activation code you were given via email. VoIP installation should be complete on your Nortel phone.
