- 1). Click "Start" and select "Control Panel."
- 2). Click "Programs and Features."
- 3). Click "Turn Windows features on or off" in the tasks pane.
- 4). Click the check box next to "Internet Explorer 8" to remove the check.
- 5). Click "Yes" when the warning message appears. Internet Explorer 8 will now uninstall itself. The computer will restart and Internet Explorer 7 will again be operational on your computer.
