How to Set Virtual Memory in Win 98
- 1). Go to "Start," point to "Settings" and then click on "Control Panel."
- 2). Double-click on the "System" icon in the control panel.
- 3). Click on the "Performance" tab in the "System Properties" dialog box and then click on the "Virtual Memory" button.
- 4). Click on the "Let me specify my own virtual memory settings" option.
- 5). Click to select the drive on which you want to set the virtual memory in the "Hard disk" drop-down box.
- 6). Click in the "Minimum" text box and type a larger value (for example, 500).
- 7). Click in the "Maximum" text box and type a larger value (for example, 1000).
- 8). Click on "OK" and then click on "OK" again.
