Kendal can be found in the Lake District only six miles from the motorway.
It's easy to get too, and a great place for holidays.

Known as the South gate to the Lake District and located close enough to Windermere and Keswick.
Plus many other lakes that you will find within an hour drive.
  At those lakes you will find many walks that you can head out on, enjoying nature in its own setting.
Industry is also big in the town, including those famous K-Shoes you may have seen around in the past.
Though they are no longer produced, but you may have also heard of Kendal Mint Cake's.
  You can also enjoy many cycle ways that will give you that much needed exercise in this location.
Plus five shopping places that will have you buying plenty of things.
Those historic buildings that you can see in Kendal will require that you have a camera along, because you'll want to share what you see.
Check out not only the Kendal Castle, but also Castle Dairy and Castle Howe.
Plus you can't forget to visit the Kendal Museum and Abbot Hall Museum.
Though many historical buildings through the years had been cleared out for new development.
