How to Use Mapquest.com

Log on to Mapquest.com. The first page that you are brought to is the “Maps” page. Type in an address in the blank box; the more information you have the better. Click “Search” and then scroll down the page to view the map. - 2
Click on “Aerial Image” to see actual satellite photographs of the area you are looking at. To go back to the original view, click, “Street map.” Both of these tabs are in the upper right corner of the map box. - 3
Click on the “Restaurants” tab below the map box to access a list of restaurant locations in the area. You can also do the same for hotels and coffee shops. - 4
Click on the “Directions” tab. This is at the top of the page represented by a little blue circle with a car on it. Then, type in the address of the location you are leaving from and the location where you are going to. Click on “Get Directions”. Step-by-step driving instructions will appear. - 5
Click on “Yellow Pages” This is also located at the top represented by none other than a yellow circle with walking fingers. This brings you to the Mapquest “Yellow Pages”. Type in the box the name of the business as well as the city and state. Click “search.” This gives you the address and telephone number of the business you were searching for. You can then click, “Directions” or “Nearby Businesses.” - 6
Click “Gas Prices” located at the top of the page and represented by a red circle. First type in the kind of fuel station you are searching for. Then, the address or the city and state (the zip code is not necessary) of the location. Click the “Search” button and Mapquest will give you the current price range for that area. The site also lists the name and location of each of these gas stations, along with their individual cost of gas.
