- 1). Click the "xterm" icon on the system taskbar to open the command line window.
- 2). Type in "sed" at the "#" command line prompt and press the "Enter" key to open the sed editor.
- 3). Type in "Joe:+:103:101:Joe Doe:/usr/customers/Joe:/bin/csh",
where the "Joe" is a new user with the "103" user ID in the "101" group and the name Joe Doe. - 4). Press the "Enter" key to add the "Joe" user account to your IRIX system.
