- 1). Charge the Plantronics Explorer 220 for approximately two hours before placing it in discoverable mode by plugging the small end of the AC adapter into the charging jack on the top of the headset and plugging the opposite end into an electrical outlet. The indicator light on the headset is solid red when charging and turns off when charging is complete.
- 2). Turn off the headset by pressing and holding the control button on the face of the headset for approximately three seconds. The indicator light will shut off when the headset is powered down. Skip to Step 3 if the Plantronics Explorer 220 is already powered off.
- 3). Press and hold the control button until the indicator light starts flashing blue and red. It takes approximately two seconds for the indicator lights to come on if you have not previously paired the headset with another device, and eight seconds if you have previously paired the headset with another device.
