We classify kinds of foods based on the result of Dr. Stolkowski's research for you who have specific wants about your baby gender. Following these directions may not guarantee you will have baby boy or baby girl, and is not meant to be used as doctor's instruction.

We advise you to start consuming these foods at least three months before your pregnancy. These kinds of foods will not have any effect after you are pregnant. Woman who eats foods which are rich in sodium and potassium is more possible to have boy. Much sodium is contained within many foods, except fruits. Foods which are naturally rich in sodium are consisting of: salt, beef, sausages, seafood's (especially tuna), crackers, soda, and eggs.

Whereas foods that contain high amount of potassium are consisting of: green beans (dried or cooked), Lima green beans, baked white potato, raw mushroom, beet leaves, radish, parsnip (some kind of carrot), spinach, peanut butter, cantaloupe, melon, papaya, apricot (fresh or canned).

Woman who eats with high calcium and magnesium diet is more likely to have girl. Food that contains high calcium: milk and milk produces, sardines, clams, green clams, green vegetables (sautéed green mustard, or spinach), Chinese radish, mustard greens (not sautéed green mustard, it's a different vegetable), and broccoli.

Foods that contain high magnesium are cereal, peanuts, meat, milk, green vegetables, and peas.

Limiting the Consumption of Particular Foods: Before and After Pregnancy

1. Adding Salt To Food, Even though we do not advise you to decrease consuming salt, it's better for you to try your food first before adding salt to it to see if it's necessary to add salt as much as you want. Consult your doctor about the amount of salt you need and health problem that may require you to limit the consumption of salt.

4. Avoid Sugar and Excessive Antacid, candies or antacid you that eat to calm your stomach will instead worsening the nauseous. Instead eat acid fruits, such as orange or berries which are easier to be tolerated by your digestion system.

5. Do Not Consume Product That Contains Saccharine. Warnings are printed on products that contain saccharine which is suspected may cause cancer. The effect of saccharine to pre born baby is not fully known yet. Read the labels carefully. Your doctor will give information about new discoveries about preservatives which must be avoided during pregnancy.

6. Stop Alcohol, you must decrease the amount of alcohol you consume before pregnancy and stop consuming it during pregnancy. Drinking alcoholic drinks for one or two glasses every day during pregnancy can cause miscarriage, or the baby born with light or heavy defects which are the symptoms of alcohol on the embryo, called Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS). Baby born with FAS lacks of weight, small, has small head, and deformed face. Their IQs are lower than normal people, and may suffer malformation and brain dysfunction, hyperactivity, abnormality on joints and body, abnormality on heart, newborn baby depression, and other activity disturbances.

7. Stop Smoking During Pregnancy. The chance of miscarriage is higher when the pregnant woman or other family members at home are smoking. Many evidences show that smoking causes the baby to have less weight than normal, and increasing the tendency of the baby to have respiratory problems later in his or her life because of the damage of the extremely soft respiratory control center on growing baby. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is considered by some researchers as the possible effect of carbon monoxide from cigars in the developing respiratory control center.

Do Not Consume Unnecessary Drugs Or Medicines. Drugs and medicines can penetrate blood flow to the brain, means the drugs or medicines you drink can affect brain and the nerve development of the baby. Ask your doctor before drinking drugs or medicines during pregnancy. For more natural lifestyle, now many people choose medication with herbs, tea, or other natural supplements to overcome flu, allergy, and other problems. Although the aim is marvelous, these substances are still drugs or medicines, some may have dangerous effects for the developing baby.
