- 1). Open Internet Explorer 8 (Start>Programs>Internet Explorer).
- 2). Right-click on the toolbar header (the white space beneath the address bar).
- 3). Click "Favorites Bar" to remove the check mark next to it. The Favorites Bar will disappear, and the header toolbar will become smaller.
