How to Remove Paint Spots From Automobiles
- 1). Wash the vehicle with car wash soap and rinse with water. Dry with a chamois cloth. The paint won't come off unless it is very fresh, but this removes any loose dirt or mud and cleans the surface of the car.
- 2). Spray the spotted areas with the lubricant supplied in the clay bar kit. The lubricant won't remove the paint but lubricates the area for the clay bar to be used. If the area becomes dry at any point, apply more.
- 3). Rub the clay bar back and forth across the paint spots. The clay bar is made specifically for picking up primer and paint spots off of a car's surface without harming the existing paint or clear coat. The clay bar can be folded several times to reveal a clean area of the bar.
- 4). Spray the area with the supplied detailing spray from the clay bar kit. Wipe it away with a microfiber towel to gently clean and shine the surface. The paint spots should be completely gone.
