- 1). Add touch-screen sensitivity to your Samsung Instinct. Touch the "Main Menu Tab" at the bottom of your screen. Navigate to "Settings," "General" and "Touch Sensitivity." Drag the slider left or right to adjust the sensitivity. Use the "Touch Here" button to test the sensitivity. When done, touch "Done."
- 2). Disable the touch-tone, which is the noise your phone makes after each touch. Press the "Main Menu Tab" Navigate to "Settings and "Volume and Vibration." Scroll down to locate the touch-tone setting. Select "Touch Off" to disable.
- 3). Check your account balance. Press "*" followed by "4," on your phone's keypad, without the quotes. Press the "Call" button. You will get information about your account, including minutes available, your billing cycle and balance due.
- 4). Change your roaming capabilities. Your Samsung Instinct roams when you are outside of your network. Press the "Main Menu Tab" and navigate to "Settings." Select "Roaming" and activate or deactivate roaming.
- 5). Press the small button on the side of your phone to set up voice dialing. Listen to the tutorial and follow along to create your own verbal cues. Press the side of the button again and say "Call" and the name of the person you want to call.
