How to Make a Jeep Club
- 1). Determine whether your club will be virtual or have in-person meetings. The difference is that an online club may be able to attract more members, but will have less in-person activities. Also, an offline Jeep club will mainly attract members close to your city.
- 2). Decide what rules you want for your Jeep club. Many require that their members be at least 18 years old, have vehicle insurance for their Jeep and sign an injury release waiver. Some Jeep clubs also require yearly or monthly dues, which are typically used to fund club activities and trips.
- 3). Choose a name for your Jeep club. The easiest approach is to name it after your area, such as the "Town Jeep Club," or "Capitol City Jeep Club." If your club is based online, choose a more inclusive name, such as the "Virtual Jeeping Enthusiast Club."
- 4). Develop a promotional plan for your Jeep club. For example, you may want to place fliers in your local Jeep dealerships (with permission), launch a blog or website, hand out a small postcard or business card to any Jeep owners you come across or post on Internet forums that attract Jeep enthusiasts.
- 5). Plan activities for club members aside from regular meetings. This is what will encourage members to join, especially if the club is based offline. For example, you can plan tours of local or well-known jeep trails, host Jeep car shows and hold members-only family events, such as picnics.
