Entrepreneur Or Employee? Your Mindset Determines Your Results!

I actually ventured offline today and attended a Super Saturday for one of my primary companies.
I was only there for a few minutes when it because very apparent to me that there were a lot of "employees" in that room instead of the entrepreneurs they were hoping to be.
Conversations revolved around "How To's" and comments were made about what works well for different situations, and what to say when...
Yet in the back of my mind I couldn't help but think "None of this really matters!" Yes, when you're just getting started in a business opportunity, knowing what to say and how the company works is certainly important.
However too many times this is what people think is their hang up.
They are thinking to themselves "If I just knew what he was saying to get those people to sign up.
" Or "If I had a different opening line, then I know they would have signed up with me" It's hard for people to see that when they get started in free enterprise, they have years of experience working AGAINST them! What?! Experience is supposed to be a good thing right? Well, unfortunately if you don't have the right experience to learn from, then it is more of a hindrance than a help.
We've been conditioned to be good employees from an early age.
Think back as a kid.
What two traits were applauded in school? Work Hard, and Following Directions! Working hard and following directions are certainly important, especially when you are young.
Yet as you get older, instead of being taught to become free thinkers and question different ways to come to a conclusion, you are still told to follow directions and work hard.
This does come in handy though, because these two traits will make excellent employees.
You will get a job, go to work everyday, raise up in the company and hopefully get pay increases along the way.
This is a good thing.
There is nothing wrong with this! The problem only arises when one day an employee decides they are sick of working for someone else and decides to become an entrepreneur in free enterprise.
When a person decides to switch from an employee to a business owner, they have no prior experience to learn from.
Not only that, but when getting started in any business opportunity, there is no one teaching them this most important skill! People continue to work hard, but they're still waiting to follow directions.
I see so many people in this situation.
Yet you must understand this.
As a business owner, NO ONE will tell you what to do.
Everything is up to you.
One of three things will happen as you go down this journey of living in free enterprise.
You will either embrace this new way of living, and do everything in your power to work on your personal development so you can achieve the results you are looking for.
Or, you will work really hard (way harder than you should have to) and never rise above mediocre results because your mindset is working against you.
Or ultimately, you will not figure out what it takes for you to be successful, and you will say this industry doesn't work and quit.
After working not only with my own personal development, but many other individuals in my online coaching, it's become quite clear to me.
The people who understand that they, and they alone are responsible for their success, are the ones who make it.
The rest of the people are still waiting for their instructions so they can finally see find success.
