Clearing Hidden Files on an iPhone

1Connect your iPhone to your computer with its USB cable. If iTunes opens, close the program.

Swipe in from the right edge of your screen and tap "Search."

Type File Explorer in the search box, tap "Apps" and then select File Explorer.

Select your iPhone from the list of devices under the Computer menu.

Click the “View” tab. This gives you options for what files and information can be seen.

Check the boxes labeled "File name extensions" and "Hidden items." You will now be able to see all of the hidden files on your iPhone.

Select and delete the hidden files you want from your iPhone. To check which files are hidden, you can toggle the “Hidden items” box off and on.
Program-Hidden Files
1Navigate to the iMobie website (link in Resources) on your computer and download the free PhoneClean program.

Follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your PC.

Connect your iPhone to your computer using the iPhone’s USB cable.

Start PhoneClean and use the onscreen guide to remove hidden files, such as temporary and cached files, corrupt media, failed downloads and cookies.
