Westfield Vancouver Mall

• Even through there are shopping opportunities throughout Vancouver, the Westfield Vancouver Mall has several family-friendly activities located in one place. As the evening darkness fall, families play on the Glow Golf course,which offers glow-in-the-dark golf. The video arcade "Tilt" offers families an opportunity to play new video games together. A play space in the mall has a soft play area for younger children to play with other family members. The Westfield Vancouver Mall's WFamily program features activities and discounts for families at mall retailers.
  
  

Bowling

• Big Al's Entertainment Complex in Vancouver has more than 30 lanes available for families to bowl together in either a traditional or intimate lounge-style setup. Other family entertainment at the facility on Saturday night includes an extensive video game arcade, dining area and large-screen television. Allen's Crosley Lanes has 42 bowling lanes available and offers families an unlimited cosmic bowling every Saturday night with lasers, fog machine, music and glow-in-the-dark pins and balls. Entertainment

• Magenta Theater Company offers family-friendly community theater productions, focusing on local work, comedies and mysteries. The Christian Youth Theater provides family entertainment, featuring Broadway-style musicals made up of students age 8 to 18. The Old Slocum House Theatre Company has productions running most of the year, featuring humorous, classical and thriller plays. Skating

• The Mountain View Ice Arena, the largest ice rink in Vancouver, is open daily for public ice skating and has skate rental and snack shop. Mountain View Ice Arena is also home to the River City Jaguars, who have games Saturday evenings during the hockey season. The Jaguars are members of the Northern Pacific Hockey League for junior-age players. The Portland Ice Skating Club also has performances throughout the year at the arena.
