Word 97 Video Tutorials

• For those who like to learn by watching, VTC offers Word 97 video tutorials free of charge. The videos cover everything from the basics of operating Word 97 to how to accomplish many of the more complex functions. These videos are arranged in a logical order and easy to use because they require no special outside software to view. University of Texas Computer Lab

• There are several online sites that offer extensive Word 97 tutorials. One of these websites belongs to the University of Texas Computing Center (see Resources). The tutorials cover everything from starting a basic document in Word 97 to working with graphics and tables. Other topics covered include setting up documents, creating and modifying headers and footers and the various tools that come with Word 97. • The Baycon is famous for its extensive library of tutorials. They offer a free Microsoft Word tutorial that is probably the best of the bunch. The lessons start by introducing you to Word 97 and its purpose, then proceeds to teach things you need to know before you even begin working the tutorial. The lessons begin at the basics for someone who knows absolutely nothing and progress to advanced techniques that even seasoned users will be able to use. This is a thorough and highly recommended tutorial for Word 97 that leaves almost nothing out.
