- 1). Stand in front of the mirror to accurately measure your sunglass size. The head width involves measuring the distance between your temples. The temples are the slight indentations found on either side of your head. Place the measuring tape on the temple at one side of your head. Use the mirror to make sure the tape measure is level. Pass the tape along the rounded bend of your head to the other temple. This is your temple spec. Record your temple measurement to use when purchasing sunglasses.
- 2). Measure the bridge of your nose from one side to the other, where the sunglasses will sit. Write this number down.
- 3). Measure your vertical sunglasses size by measuring a pair of sunglasses or eyeglass frames that you like from the top of the frame to the bottom.
