How to Make an Original WAV File With Soundbooth
- 1). Plug your recording device into your sound card's Microphone In or Line In port
- 2). Open Adobe Soundbooth.
- 3). Click "File" in the top menu bar and select "Record."
- 4). Select your recording device from the "Device" drop-down menu.
- 5). Select your sample rate from the "Sample Rate" drop-down menu.
- 6). Select either "Stereo" or "Mono" from the "Channels" menu.
- 7). Select a port (e.g., "Line In") from the "Port" drop-down menu.
- 8). Check the box labeled "Monitor Input During Recording."

Click "Browse" and select the folder where you want your WAV file saved. - 11
Click the Record icon, represented by a red circle, to start recording. - 12
Click the Stop icon, represented by a black square, to stop recording. Soundbooth automatically saves the recorded audio in WAV format.
