Video: Healthy Fruit Juice Recipes for Kids
Video Transcript
Hi this is Dr. Linda Joy Rose from Raw Fusion Living for eHow.com teaching you today how to make healthy fruit juice recipes for kids. I'm going to make two recipes today. One of them is a combination of carrots and pineapple. The other one, apples and cherries. Now with children five and under you can give them the juice as is or you can also dilute it with water for a one to one ratio. And what we're going to do is start out with this fresh carrot juice that I have made. And we're going to add some pineapple. Now carrot juice is fantastic. One glass of carrot juice alone has over 400 percent of your daily recommended allowance for Vitamin A. It's also very high in Vitamin K which is great for building healthy muscles and Vitamin C for the immune system. And it also has a lot of minerals too. And then we have this lovely pineapple here. Pineapple is extremely high in Vitamin C and also high in a lot of minerals like Potassium and Colene. I'm going to run this juice here. And that's all we need. Just the spears with about two carrots should be enough of a serving for a child. Now pour this out here. It's sweet, it's delicious and your kids will love it. So moving on to another juice, we're going to do this combination of apples and cherries. Apples are loaded with so many benefits. They truly are a super fruit. They have malic acid which inhibits bacterial growth so yes, an apple a day does keep the doctor away. They're also very high in fiber and cherries have a lot of vitamins to them. They even have Vitamin B which is unusual in a fruit. So we're going to start with just two apples to one small bunch of grapes. And now we'll add the grapes. And there you have it. Two very healthy fruit juice recipes for a kid. This is Dr. Linda Joy Rose for eHow.com.
