Callaway X Hot Driver Promote Consistency and Distance
The new Callaway x hot driver is offered to the market in 2013. The head is a 460cc head (440cc for the Pro) with a matte gunmetal gray finish and a classic pear shape.
The design of the X-Hot is another clean and classic styled driver from the people at Callaway. They did add a little color to the rear edge of the crown in the form of small black, read and gray graphics. While Callaway was very classic with the design of the crown they took a little artistic liberty when it came to the sole of the club. The sole was giving red and white accents on the left and right which actually tie in well with the finish on the head as well as the shaft choice.
When you look at the range of adjustments here they are comparable to those of other adjustment systems. However it is the restrictive nature of only three setting, with no intermediate settings that make this system a bit limiting. They are many people out there that say that this system works well and gives the golfer enough choices when it comes to adjusting/fitting the driver to their game.
The cheap golf clubs is remarkably forgiving when it comes to off center hits, especially off the heel shots. As with all off center shots you do expect to see some distance lost, however with the thin walls and Speed Frame Face this loss is minimal. By designing the X-Hot with ultra thin walls, Callaway was able to place the center of gravity to help make the X-Hot so forgiving.
In addition, Callaway also offer a range of cheap x hot irons, cheap Callaway x hot hybrid and fairway woods to compliment the driver. Callaway have taken a scientific approach here and used all the data they have available from their fitting bays all over the world to understand how golfers swings, and ultimately their shots, are impacted by the loft of club they are using and have designed the clubs to incorporate this progressive draw bias with the aim of helping to straighten out golfers drives- hopefully leading to straight drives and less hooks!
Overall it is a sharp looking driver. It is a great driver for the High-Handicapper and one that will help you in many different ways. With its amazingly forgiving face to its distance improving technology, it comes with high marks from your friends here.
