Gravol Instructions
- 1). Consult your doctor about the suitability and dosage you will need to combat your symptoms. When using 50mg tablets, patients usually take 50 to 100mg (1 to 2 tablets) every four hours. For 75mg tablets (long-lasting,) patients usually take 75 to 150mg (1 to 2 tablets) every 8 hours. Rectal suppositories come in 50mg doses. Take 50 to 100mg every 8 hours. This method is useful for patients who are suffering from severe nausea or vomiting and are not able to take medication orally.
- 2). Take the drug with or without food as desired. Follow the instructions listed on the box or given by your doctor when taking the drug. These instructions will include recommended dosage and the number of days you should be taking the drug. Store the drug at room temperature away from light.
- 3). Ensure that you are not driving or operating machinery after you have taken Gravol. Known side effects include drowsiness, blurred vision and dizziness. Consuming alcohol while taking Gravol will aggravate any side effects so Gravol and alcohol should not be consumed at the same time, even if you will not be operating heavy machinery or driving.
- 4). Avoid combining Gravol with other drugs, especially antihistamines and tranquilizers. If you are taking any other medication or wish to begin new medication, first consult your doctor or pharmacist to ensure that there will be no adverse drug interactions.
