    • 1). Cut the plywood to the same shape as your furniture so that it fits over it nicely.

    • 2). Cut foam to the same shape as the plywood.

    • 3). Iron upholstery fabric to that is doesn't have any wrinkles on it.

    • 4). Lay the upholstery fabric down on your workspace so that the wrong side is faced up.

    • 5). Lay batting over the fabric.

    • 6). Lay the foam in the center of the fabric and place the plywood on top.

    • 7). Wrap the fabric around to the back of the plywood and staple it in place. Staple all around the fabric until it is completely snug. Trim any excess fabric and batting as you staple.
