- 1). Explore the Camp California website (see Resources). This site offers a complete and informative database where you can search for campgrounds by location, facilities and services. The Camp California website offers a complete guide to campgrounds throughout the state. It also gives you a lot of extra information and advice on travel and vacation hot spots. When visiting the website, simply choose the type of campground you want to visit on the drop-down menu. Select the state and region you are visiting, and click on the ”Search” tab to see the RV campgrounds available.
- 2). Search the Go Camping America website (see Resources). This site provides overall information on campgrounds nationwide. When visiting the site, select the state of California on the drop-down menu, pick a city and in the “Search by campground or keyword” section type “RV.” Click on the “Search” tab to view the results.
- 3). Check out the KOA website. KOA has an extensive list of “kampgrounds” (as they call them) all over California. KOA provides in-depth information including campsite maps and types of accommodations each camp offers. Click on the “Find a KOA” tab located on the upper-left side of the screen. Select the state of California on the drop-down menu located below where it says “RV and Tent Sites” and click on the “Go” tab to get a list of options available. Another unique feature KOA offers is its Rewards program. A list of RV dealers, rentals and repairs is also provided on KOA's website.
