    How It's Supposed to Work

    • Relacore supposedly works by reducing the amount of cortisol you body releases in response to stress. This, in turn, is supposed to keep your body from accumulating fat around the midsection, which is where stress-related weight gain reportedly take place. There have, in fact, been no in-depth studies to show that Relacore has any effect on cortisol levels.

    Ingredients

    • The ingredients of Relacore are not listed on the label or their webpage. Searches of various websites that review diet supplements list the ingredients as: Magnolia bark, which is used for the "feel good" effect; passion flower, for its calming effects; ginseng, used for nervous disorders; jujoba, used in nutritional supplements; perilla, which is full of vitamins and minerals; scutellaria, niacinamide, pinellia, pioria, and phosphotidylserine. Most of the ingredients have little usefulness in the product.

    Safety

    • There are several vitamins and minerals in Relacore, along with other natural ingredients. There have been no reports of serious side effects with the use of Relacore, mainly just diarrhea or dry mouth with the first few days of use. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients, you could experience side effects. Before you start this or any type of diet program, consult your physician as to its safety and the possible interaction between it and any medications you may be taking.

    Advertising

    • Relacore has attained much attention due to its extensive advertising in the media, Internet and infomercials. Advertising depends heavily on testimony from individuals who have supposedly had success with the product. There is no way to prove that these testimonials are valid. Various blogs are full of testimonials both praising and condemning the product.

    Federal Trade Commission

    • The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has taken action against other weight loss supplements with similar claims about the reduction of cortisol levels. It is likely that the FTC will eventually have the manufacturers stop making their claims that Relacore has any effect on the reduction of cortisol levels.
