- 1). Open the Start menu and click on the "Outlook Express" icon.
- 2). Wait for the main Outlook Express window to appear, go to "Tools" in the top menu bar and choose "Options" from the drop-down list.
- 3). Select the "Spelling" tab at the top of the "Options" window.
- 4). Open the drop-down menu in the "Language" section and choose "English (United States)" from the list of options.
- 5). Hit the "OK" or "Apply" button at the bottom of the window to save the settings. Now when you enter text in Outlook Express, the program will base its spell-checking on its English dictionary.
