- 1). Unscrew the back cover of the remote sensor and insert two AAA batteries. Press the "Reset" button and replace the cover. Open the battery cover on the back of the main unit and insert two AA batteries. Press the "Reset" button and replace the cover.
- 2). Press the "Mode" button on the front of the main unit three times to ensure that the sensor and main unit are synced. The temperature is displayed when the two units are synced correctly.
- 3). Press the "Mode" button to change the display mode to "Time Display." Other modes include "Calendar Display," "Indoor Temperature Display," and "Outdoor Temperature Display."
- 4). Press the "Set" button once to automatically update the time. Set the time and date manually if a signal can't be found. Hold the "Set" button in until the digital map flashes. Press the "+" or "-" buttons to set the correct time zone and press the "Set" button once. Press the "+" or "-" buttons again to set the correct time and press the "Set" button once. You'll hear "Setting Complete." Press the "Set" button again later to automatically set the time.
- 5). Flip the "Announce Switch" to the "On" position if you want the unit to announce the time and temperature every hour. If the outdoor temperature isn't displayed, only the indoor temperature will be announced.
