Joseph McElderry and Lloyd Daniels

This year's X Factor competition in the UK has one of the strongest line-ups for the live finals that we've seen for years.
Two of the strongest contenders for the grand prize are two young lads who will be competing against each other.
But will either of them have what it takes to win the competition? Sixteen-year-old Lloyd Daniels from South Wales has already become a heart-throb amongst the hordes of teenage girls who follow the show.
But his first appearance on the show at the live auditions could well have been his last if judge Cheryl Cole had not given him a second chance.
During his original audition he suffered badly from nerves and his voice broke down as he sang "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz.
However, Cheryl recognized the nerves, stopped him and appealed to head judge Simon Cowell to let him start again.
Simon asked Lloyd to sing something acapella, which he did, overcoming his nerves and winning over both the judges and the audience.
Eighteen-year-old Joseph McElderry didn't have any problems with his first audition.
He gave a very confident and assured rendition of "Dance With My Father", the Luther Vandross ballad.
Joseph did have the advantage however that he has been through the X Factor auditions before, getting as far as boot camp two years ago.
Not only that but Joe is a performing arts student, whereas Lloyd has only ever performed in his school play! So we can forgive Lloyd the nerves.
So now the two teenagers are through to the final twelve, let the battle begin!
