How to Glue Round Wood
- 1). Test fit the round wood by placing it against, or fitting it into, the wood to which it will be attached.
- 2). Lightly sand the areas of the round wood that will be connected to another wood surface with a fine-grit sandpaper to remove any surface finish, dirt, debris or oils. Wipe the round wood with a damp rag to remove sanding dust.
- 3). Apply a thin coat of wood glue to the round wood where it will contact the other wood surface. Apply a thin coat of wood glue to the other wood surface at the contact point.
- 4). Place the round wood into the other piece of wood so it is held securely in place. Clamp the round wood in place with an adjustable wood clamp, if necessary, to hold it in place against another piece of wood.
- 5). Wipe excess glue that seeps from the connection point between the round wood and other piece of wood with a damp rag. Allow the wood glue to set and cure overnight for best results.
