Anyone who still has vinyl records and listens to them knows the problem.
The scratching, crackling and other noises in the background.
The problem is, "How do I get rid of it?" Well there is Lot's of advice on the Internet.
But after studying it all I have come to the conclusion: "Most is Outdated, simply don't work or is just too expensive.
" But, I've found a solution.
So is there no solution? Take the record cleaning machines, they work very good, but then be ready to put up $500 to $3000! Phew!! So, OK, you could take your records to a shop and have them cleaned, at $1- $2 per record say you want to clean 100 records, "You gotta dig deep in your Wallet my friend!" And the drawback in comparison to my invention is: The surface of the record is really clean after being washed, but it starts attracting dust right after coming out of the washing machine, so soon you will need to clean it again.
And the rest of the suggestions? To tell the truth, they simply don't work, been there, done that!" I had the same problem for years.
I didn't buy my records to have a museum, nor do I buy them simply to have some thing to trade at some later period.
No I'm emotionally attached to every single LP I have.
I bought it because I loved the music, Interpret, the way it is performed or all of this and more.
I bought the record because I want to listen to it.
But I have to admit that sometimes, for A Looong time, I didn't listen anymore, because of all the background noises that had NOTHING to do with the music.
A solution surmises I just read a report yesterday that said vinyl record sales had raised by 89%, OK, I don't know, I have not researched it.
But if it has happened, that is fantastic.
And let's get one thing straight here, I'm not rallying against CD's, I love my CD's too and I have a whole collection of them.
But I could not bring myself to throw away my vinyl records.
I loved the music I had stored on them, I was only annoyed by the additional noise created as the stylus runs over the dust in the grooves.
And like I explain on my site, one day I decided to do something about it.
And believe me, this additional noise did annoy me, I happen to be a loudspeaker designer and builder and it is my ambition to build speakers that let you hear every sigh, every hiss.
So maybe you can imagine my excitement when I found something that really helped.

But in short, after doing some hard, intensive thinking, (making the little brains I've got smoke) I realized that I was working with a product that had exactly the criteria I needed to protect my records.
I only had to find a way to adapt it so it would be able to be used on vinyl records and it should not lose these abilities and it should not damage the vinyl records.
So after making my brains smoke a little more, and some trials and failures, I finally came up with a mixture that would work.

And now after I have been using it for over 4 months now, my enthusiasm is growing more and more.
How it works For instance last night ( that is Friday the 18th of June 2010) I cleaned my, "Little River Band" LP, "First under the wire".
This LP was produced in the year 1979, I realized that this Album is 31 years old and had never been cleaned during this time, except for the normal brush cleaning with the carbon brush.
It showed, for instance Track 4 on side one, "Cool Chance" and the Prelude to Track 1 on side 2 "Hard Life".
Both tracks gave a more a diffused sound than music.
Now after Cleaning it sounds better than when I bought the record, because I have NO other sounds than the music that was originally recorded.
My product is no magic potion.
It is not a case of rubbing it on and the vinyl record is immediately clean.
But the solution works like this.
I pre-clean the record with my pre-cleaner and then dry it off.
Then I apply the Cleaner/Sealer, both start to loosen the grit that's caked in the grooves.
I let the cleaner dry completely, this takes about 3 minutes, then I rub the record clean.
When you now play the record, and the stylus runs through the grooves, it brings up all the grit that has been loosened by the cleaners.
This has to be repeated depending on how dirty the records are until they are clean.
How many times I must do my records depends completely on their state.
But I can see that each time the record is played, less grime comes up and the record sounds better, with less disturbances.
Most of my records where CD clean after 3 cleanings.
And this is when I feel the sensation.
My vinyl record spinning on the turntable, the music coming from the loudspeakers as if from a CD, NO DISTURBANCES! Suddenly hearing instruments or arrangements I never noticed before.
And in my opinion, now comes the biggest advantage Record-Kleen-n-Seal has over other products, it seals the surface of my records.
It overlays the surface of my records with a microscopic thin hard layer making it scrape resistant and dust repellent.
It goes to say that a thin layer on my stylus acts the same way so both my records as well as my stylus have less "wear n tear".
And once my record is clean I can keep it like this easily by just rubbing it down from time to time with the Kleen-n-Seal.
This is an advantage even for those who clean with machine disc washers and such.
Why not seal your records after you've washed them? This really adds another dimension to the whole experience for me.
