Letting Go of Your Story
When we cling to disempowering and disheartening stories about ourselves and use them as an excuse for why we cannot move beyond our circumstances or situations, we become victims to our story.
Victims have NO POWER.
The story, in this case hurts and hinders our growth and evolvement.
Many of us manifest things we don't want because we continue to relive old, outdated stories about who we think we are.
EVERYONE has a story and when you listen to other people, you may come to realize that your story isn't as bad as you thought it was, making you more aware of what you are really telling yourself, and co-creating, every-single-day.
The subconscious mind is a powerhouse.
It stores all events from your past (whether you remember them or not) and it's where your deepest beliefs, values and early childhood imprints are held.
Your subconscious mind is really, really good at manifesting stuff so if you don't want what you're getting in life, then stop manifesting it through your story.
Ask yourself, EXACTLY what story from your past do you continue to cling to because it's familiar or because it continues to be retold by family and friends who buy into it as well? Breaking away from a story can be difficult when it's continuously reinforced by others.
It forces us to change our perspective and redefine ourselves.
While our stories shape who we are and contribute to our journey, they do not have to define who we are.
We do that in spite of our stories.
In order to break free, you have to start somewhere and this is a good place.
You cannot change your story if you don't know what you're telling yourself and your subconscious mind cannot help you to manifest anything different.
Choosing to change perspective and find the gems in your story can help heal how you've been telling it to yourself and others.
Choosing to let go of your story or excuse, frees you to create a new story, one where you successful, accomplished, organized, or healthy; whatever is the opposite of what you're telling yourself now.
If you want to make changes in your life right now, begin today by rewriting all the parts of your story where you are unhappy with your life.
Substantial changes in your life can be initiated through a simple of awareness.
And with awareness comes the knowledge that only you can shift your life in the ways you want.
And remember: the longer you wait and procrastinate, the longer you will wait to see the results you want.
