Jeep Rubicon Specifications

104 19
    • The Jeep Rubicon is a 4X4 off-road edition of the Wrangler series. Although it is similar in looks and feel as the rest of the Wranglers, the Rubicon has some additional features which make it stand out, such as increased road stability, special off-road facilities allowing it to traverse difficult terrain and advanced safety features.

    Engine

    • The Jeep Rubicon comes with a 3.8-liter V6 engine. It features a part-time four-wheel drive system with a slow gear ratio. The slow gear ratio enables the Rubicon to crawl along at low speeds with greater control, ideal if you are taking it off road. The electronic stability program feature helps the Rubicon maintain control on slick roads and in low traction environments. This feature operates in three different modes. The first is the default mode that activates full ESP traction; the second setting shuts the traction program off; and the final mode turns off the ESP altogether. This final mode is the best setting for off-road driving. The six-speed manual transmission handles all driving environments easily.

    Interior

    • The Jeep Rubicon comes with a multimedia system that includes an MP3 player, satellite radio facilities and a seven-speaker sound system. The seats have cloth covers and adjustable headrests. A soft top cover offers all-weather protection against the elements. The Rubicon also comes with the option of power windows and has removable doors for easier access. It also has a fully controllable air conditioning system. For extra safety, there are two advance multistage airbags in the front of the Jeep. These newly designed airbags inflate in relation to the severity of the impact so the driver and passenger are suitably protected.

    Exterior

    • The Rubicon wheels are four 17-inch aluminum wheels finished in satin carbon. The tires are the BF Goodrich, specially designed for off-road vehicles such as the Jeep. At the back of the vehicle is a swing gate style door where the spare tire is housed. The car locks are controlled by keyless remote entry fobs. For increased durability off-road, the front and rear axles are Dana heavy-duty models. On either side of the body are side-mounted rails, designed to provide extra protection. For extra visibility in bad weather conditions, there are two fog lamps on the front of the vehicle.
