- 1). Use a small flathead screwdriver to pry the dome light loose. Remove the dome light from the overhead nook and unplug the wire harness from the back of the dome light. Tuck the wires up into the overhead nook.
- 2). Hold the TV mounting bracket over the overhead nook. Use a carpenters knife to cut the headliner around the mounting bracket. Remove the mounting bracket to remove the cut headliner piece. Removing the headliner reduces vibrations in the TV screen.
- 3). Pull the wires out from the overhead nook and thread them through the opening of the bracket. Place the bracket over the ceiling nook and use a drill with a machine tap drill bit to drill a hole in each corner of the bracket. Continue to drill into the ceiling, but do not exceed the depth of the ceiling. Machine taps create threaded holes that hold screws in place.
- 4). Insert and tighten the mounting screws through the bracket and tighten them into the ceiling. Plug the wire harness into the the TV and slide the TV onto the bracket until it locks into place.
