Beating Your Writer"s Block

103 34
Are you an article writer? If you are, you've probably experienced that nasty 'mental block' that we writers get from time to time.
If you are building traffic to your website through article marketing then you will know how vital it is to keep pumping out the goods.
I know myself, I don't always feel like writing and sometimes I even run out of ideas, I'm sure you may have experienced this also.
There is no doubt that Google and the other major search engines give more priority to sites that are regularly added to.
You get more traffic, faster and higher rankings.
If you can manage it, you should aim to write one new article per day (or pay someone else to do it, if you can afford to).
If you stick to the game plan then you will find Google will index your new material VERY fast, normally when I add a new post to my blog it's indexed almost instantly.
You can check what Google has indexed on your site by using site:"http://www.
mywebsite.
com" in Google search.
If ever you don't feel like writing an article that day then just imagine the power of having your content indexed and ranked within a minute or so! I'd recommend that you get Firefox and the Alexa 'Sparky' add on so you can track your rank.
Seeing this figure improve on a weekly basis will give you some real motivation.
I'd also recommend you regularly look for your chosen keywords in the search engines to see how your positions are doing.
You shouldn't get to hooked on this though! If you are doing things consistently then you will see a steady increase of your rankings in Google and other search engines.
Very motivating! You should aim for 1 article a day, don't go to bed until its done.
If you don't feel in a writing mood and are concerned that your writing quality won't be as good as usual, just think 'what the heck' and do it anyway! You will be able to make changes to it later.
Even if you don't have the time to do any thorough keyword research it's good to just pick a topic and start writing anyway.
Having a hard time thinking of what to write about? It's not usually that difficult for me to find a topic to write about once I start researching Google for information relating to my market.
One thing leads to another and I soon discover lots of ideas I can write about, try it for yourself.
Focus on why you want to write articles.
We are writing articles to increase our exposure and drive massive amounts of traffic to our websites, and after a few weeks of daily effort we will be rewarded.
More visitors = more sales & profit.
Once your traffic is coming in take a holiday! The traffic that articles bring is long term so it's well worth the time investment.
There's a good old saying, 'Rome wasn't built in a day' It's the same with your internet business.
Short time pain for long term gain.
Take the challenge with me and write 1 new article every day for the next 8 weeks.
