If you keep frying an egg, you will always get fried eggs.
If you want poached eggs, you have got to start getting the pot and poaching the eggs to get poached eggs.
It will be insane to expect poached eggs when all you have been doing is frying eggs.
Likewise in life, if you have always been getting things in a certain manner, as a result of a certain action - nothing won't change in the results if you don't start tweaking and testing the actions! One thing is, we need to employ the ability to keep learning new things, and to be open to change and new information.
By being open, it creates an atmosphere of openness and ability to evolve and change.
An example if you want to make an additional source of income by blogging when all you have been doing for the past ten years is frying eggs, it'd of course be an vast learning dip and curve when you start learning how to handle softwares and hardwares of the internet and the computer! The key here is being proactive and taking responsibility in our learning, in order to achieve our vision.
This is especially so when we have no background and expertise in the area we plan to venture into.
Trouble is, people tend to stick to what they have been doing, as it's more comfortable, it feels "safe" to do what we know - but remember what I wrote: you keep frying eggs, you will ALWAYS and ONLY get fried eggs.
You want some scramble eggs, then change the way you fry your eggs.
So if you want to make an additional income of blogging, learn all you can about blogging through Google search, buy books, ask people who have achieve what you want and model them, read reports and find and apply ways to monetise your blog and increase traffic.
The thing is to be proactice and apply what you have learnt, and keep tweaking until you get to your goal(s).
