Husbands, Find Out What Your Wife Really Wants From You
Men you need to recognize that women, want simple things, they truly want you to give yourself to them.
If you give yourself to her, meaning who you are inside, you are on the road to making her happy.
A woman's desires are like a child's desires - they both your time.
-Time for the truth: But the realization is, our world can be so crazy with work, driving the children and home maintenance, there is barely enough hours in the day to get everything done.
As the children get older they have activities that keep the parents in a state of perpetual taxi service.
Before long, most of the conversations between the couple are about practical things, more like a daily schedule conference than talking between spouses.
-Your Interests: It's understandable that guys want some time for their interests to go hunting or watch base ball for a few hours on Saturday.
So he hands her the credit card and says, "Enjoy shopping," hoping the mall stays open long enough for the last game to finish.
Having done that, he thinks he's met her needs.
Sure, she's enjoying the shopping but that's no substitute for what she really wants from him, his attention.
-Women want: A woman wants to be the focus of her man's interest, the way she was when they first met.
She knows it can't be that way every day, because they have other obligations.
But she wonders why it can't be that way for at least a weekly date night or a bed and breakfast weekend.
She would like to be out in the car together and talking or holding hands without him fiddling with the radio buttons to listen to the news.
By holding her hand (guys!) she can get some quality time with you, this might relieve some of her frustrations.
Stop worrying about the news for awhile, you know what the saying is: (happy wife, happy home).
-Quality Time: Chances are he has no clue whatsoever why the time he spends fixing the kitchen faucet or taking her car for an oil change isn't seen as quality time.
So she has to explain it.
Explain, not whine, gripe or complain.
Just saying she wants time is too mind boggling for most men to grasp.
Instead, give a specific use for that time like going to a movie or taking a walk in the park.
Waiting for him to use his creative mind to come up with what she means by "spending time with me" is likely to miss her desires.
So be specific - he will be grateful knowing exactly what to do to please you.
-Guys, make a CD of the songs that she likes and make it a treasure hunt for her to find the gift.
This game can be fun for both of you and she will see the time spent as quality time together.
-Fun in the sun: Another way to make the gift of time more enjoyable is to make it mutually exciting.
Go hiking, or get outdoors.
Spending time together becomes something to look forward to, instead of something for the to-do list, when there's a treat for both spouses as part of that time together.
