- 1). Connect your telephone recording adapter directly to a phone jack in your wall. Connect your phone to the telephone recording adapter.
- 2). Plug the 1/8-inch plug coming from the recording adapter into the "Line In" port on your PC's sound card.
- 3). Click on the "Start" button in Windows then "All Programs" and click on "Accessories." Highlight the "Entertainment" section and select "Sound Recorder."
- 4). Click on the "Edit" menu and select "Audio Properties." Ensure your sound recording device is set to your correct sound card and click "OK."
- 5). Press the red "Record" button in Sound Recorder to begin recording. Click on the square "Stop" button when recording is complete. You can pause and play your recording using the triangle button.
- 6). Click on the "File" menu then "Save." Name your recording and choose a folder where you want to save it. Your telephone call is now recorded and saved.
