Animation Film Costumes

• There are plenty of popular animation films out there, and most people would recognize you immediately if you dressed up as several of the characters for Halloween. For instance, consider having your group dress as characters from the movie "Shrek." Some recognizable characters include Shrek and Fiona, Donkey, Dragon, Puss in Boots, the Big Bad Wolf and Prince Charming. Other group animation costumes include characters from films like "Toy Story," "Kung Fu Panda," "Fantasia" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas."

• According to the American Film Institute, some of the top musical movies of all time include "Singing in the Rain," "West Side Story," "The Sound of Music," "An American in Paris" and "The Wizard of Oz." Many musicals are rich with group characters. For example, consider dressing up like Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow and the Lion from "The Wizard of Oz." • There are a wide range of action films with memorable characters. Some of these movies include "Batman," "Ocean's Eleven," "Gladiator," "Kill Bill," "Terminator" and "Star Wars." From the "Batman" films, group characters would include the Batman, Robin and the Joker. You could also consider Yoda, Luke, R2-D2 and Darth Vader from "Star Wars."

• Some of the most recognizable group characters from fantasy movies can be found in "The Lord of the Rings," "The NeverEnding Story," "The Princess Bride" and "Harry Potter." One idea would be to dress as the fellowship of the ring from "Lord of the Rings." These characters would include the ring-bearer, Frodo, Sam, Aragorn, Gandalf the wizard, Gimli the dwarf and Legolas the elf.
