Lotion Samples

• If possible, have the company selling the lotions give your salon small packets of their lotion so customers don't have to purchase a full bottle. Tanning lotions can be expensive, so people don't want to spend their money on a full bottle if they don't know it works for them. Push the products of the specific companies that give you these samples.
  
  You can also make your own samples, by putting promo bottles of the tanning lotion into individual containers and distributing those to your customers for free. This is a good way for them to sample a number of different lotions and decide if they actually want to buy a bottle.

• Know which lotions are the best on the market and be able to talk about them without hesitation. • It's important to display the lotions in a particular way in your salon so customers are not confused by which lotion is which. Disorganization is a turn-off for customers. It's always important to center your main display of lotions around some sort of theme, so if it's a diorama of sand around a beach or a picture of a resort getaway or even flip-flops and a beach towel, it's good to subconsciously convey where these tanning lotions can take you.
