The technological world that we are in has changed and revolutionalised every aspect of human life including the digital camera. gone are the days of film photography, now the reign in town is to have a quick snapshot from any angle with your digital camera .the good thing about this is that, It is as good as the film photography infact it is much better than film photography!

These are some of the ways the digital camera override the film photography

Cost - when you use the digital camera to take photos, you are saved the agony of reloading, developing the negatives for printing etc, and photos taken with digital camera cost literally nothing. The pictures are stored in the camera memory and can copy into a computers hard disk. with the film photos you pay for every photo you take

The sensor- the digital camera has a fixed electronic sensor situated behind the lens to make taking a photo swift and fast i.e. with the use of its pixel, but the film photography has a slow predetermined time to bring out a picture. when the photo is taken the shutter opens for a while to allow the light hit the film and this is when the photo is created on the film. The digital sensor is smaller in size than the 35mm films.

Memory -the digital camera has a memory capacity that can hold hundreds and sometimes thousands of photographs on a single memory space or to be more practical a digital cameras memory at times could have an infinitum memory. it allows as many photos in its memory as you can shoot. But the film memory capacity is limited. The roll of the film can only hold the 36 photos except a new roll is inserted. In essence a digital camera can take the roll of ten of thousands of film camera on a single scenario.

Feedback -with film photography there is no way to know how the picture that was snapped will look until its printed. Unlike the digital camera that has an LCD screen, which it use to make correction and a feed back on how the picture taken looks and thereby creating room for correction if a photo that was taken is not good

Editing- with digital cameras photos can be edited using photo editing software, some have an inbuilt editing abilities. With film camera what you shoot is what you get there is no opportunity for editing photos already shot.
